Risk disclosure — Investment / savings plans
Please read this before subscribing to any plan. It is written plainly on purpose.
Important: these plans are community arrangements, not regulated investment products.
1. Projected returns are not guaranteed
Every growth figure you see on a plan page is a projection — a calculation of what your contributions would become at the stated bonus rate if everything goes to plan. It is an illustration, not a promise. The final amount you receive can be lower, and in an adverse situation you may receive less than the total you contributed.
2. This is not a SEBI-registered investment product
These plans are run by our own community group. They are not mutual funds, deposits, bonds, insurance or any product registered with SEBI, RBI or IRDAI. There is no regulator overseeing them, no capital guarantee, and no deposit insurance. Community advisers who explain plans are not SEBI-registered investment advisers and do not provide regulated financial advice.
3. Who funds the return
Any bonus or return is funded by the group or the organiser from their own resources. It is not paid from the contributions of new or existing members. No member's money is used to pay another member's return. This means the return depends on the organiser's ability to fund it — which is a real risk you are accepting.
4. Terms can change
Contribution amounts, frequency, bonus rate, maturity date and early-withdrawal terms may be changed prospectively with notice, if circumstances require it. Changes are published on the plan page and in the notice feed. Existing contributions are treated according to the terms recorded on your subscription.
5. Liquidity and early withdrawal
Your money is not available on demand. Each plan sets its own early-withdrawal terms, which may reduce or remove the bonus and may involve a waiting period. Only contribute money you can leave in place for the plan's duration.
6. Other risks to be aware of
- Organiser risk: the plan depends on the honesty and solvency of the organiser.
- Concentration risk: your contributions are not diversified across assets.
- Member default risk: in BC groups, another member's default affects the whole group.
- Operational risk: UPI, banking or telecom failures can delay payments and confirmations.
- Inflation risk: a fixed bonus may not keep pace with rising prices.
7. Before you subscribe
Contribute only surplus money, read the plan's own terms and compliance footer, ask the organiser anything that is unclear, and consider independent professional advice. See also our how it works page and terms.
